Drink some coffee......

I find this story rather useful and inspiring and i am putting it here incase i forgot the story (or where to look for it in future..)

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. The conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.
Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain-looking, some expensive, and some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.
After all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.
"Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases, it's just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups, and then began eyeing each other's cups.
"Now consider this: Life is the coffee, and the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain life, and the type of cup we have does not define nor change the quality of life we live. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee God has provided us."

God brews the coffee, not the cups . . Enjoy your coffee.

Be aware that your life is much more than your job. If your job defines you and controls you, you’re very vulnerable to changing circumstances. Jobs will come and go, but that should never change who you are as a person. Make sure you are making deposits of success in your life apart from your job.
4. Humor -- Quality of Life Sometimes we voice an opinion or try to make a point without seeing an obvious application in our own lives. Here’s a classic illustration:
Bill and his wife Mary were sitting in the living room, having just heard about an unfortunate situation regarding a recovering accident victim. Bill looked over and said to Mary, "Just so you know, I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, just pull the plug."
In one swift move, Mary got up, unplugged the TV and threw out all of Bill’s beer!

i am alwez wondering....

i see so many people have their own kool blogsites and i m wondering how to make a kool one of my own. anyway...this blogsite may be for my eyes only coz nobody knows i own a site and nobody will read what is posted in here. sheez.....here i go again.....complaining and wondering....well. last nite i lay awake thinking of my sister who is getting married. I've been on lockhorns with her for many years due to some unresolved problems and now i m thinking...to attend her wedding? then i thought, she's my sister, for crying out loud(altho' she has treated me worst than a stranger, more like an enemy, tho....) conflicting emotions, am i to feel happy for her? what about my own happiness? now everyone will expect me to get married, since i'm the next one....my elder three sisters have already gotten 'hitched'......the pain burns inside me, not because i'm still single but the fact that i don't know whether i love them as sisters or whether all the rejection throughout the years have made me either to long for their love or to totally disregard them....

Actually i realised one thing, when you write. u can actually outpout all the things that are trapped in yourself and as a result, feel lighter after the outpouring which i think its therapy.
ok...ok enough of this ranting...i'm still daydreaming and wondering when my Prince Charming is going to come and bring me to my white castle on top of the hill in Switzerland....

Sighh.....this world has so much to offer and so many things to see, yet here i am not sure where i am leading to.....so many choices and options and what-not.....God, give me some inspiration...

Jesus loves me.....

What in the world is wrong with ???*%#$

It has been ages since i last posted a blog due to the norms of life and the hecticness of existence. Well, to anyone who has ever chanced upon my blogs....just to inform that i'm quite a regular blogger with the local newspaper, The Star and will continue to do so. Below is an extract of one of my blogs in our newsp...

Last night I lay on my bed thinking, "Hmmm......alot of the world's problems could be solved by simple communication and effective listening." Many a time people tend to harbour alot of misgivings and anger toward a particular party without bothering to talk it out. The newspaper is full of news of angry wives killing husbands and vice versa due to difficulty in communication or lack thereof. What has happened to the communication structure within a family?
God gave us a mouth and two ears for a purpose, and from the very beginning of the existence of man, communication is a key tool of surviving. In the prehistoric times, man uses sign language to deliver messages across.
Communicating effectively is an essential tool for all organisation. Regardless of what business you are in – a large corporation, a small company, or even a home-based business–effective communication skills are essential for success. Nowadays there are many consulting firms offering communication courses so that businesses can grow and expand.
What is my point exactly? Personally I've experienced difficulty in communicating with certain individuals due to character differences. However I realised that this shouldnt be a hindrance to developing a relationship and resolving differences. Therefore to all out there who are presently going through difficulties in their relationships, remember to talk it out and resolve issues amicably. if course humility helps and be thankful of our abilities to talk.

Also, God gave humans two ears and a mouth for a reason..........

Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind.
